The probe is inserted for ultrasound treatment. Once scanned, the physician can see a 3D scan of your prostate. The doctor then tells the HIFU system where the areas should be treated. High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) then destroys small parts of the prostate with heat. This procedure offers very little to no pain on the patient.
